Creatures of the Night
An Update on the Nightly Events at ‘The Show’ This Year

Doing business and getting an eyeful of innovations in the Exhibit Hall and absorbing wisdom in the Educational Program do not “The Show” fully make. The third element in this famous trade show trinity is, of course, the nightly networking events.
This year, there’s more to excite and captivate. Here’s a rundown of what’s on tap as of press time; expect more fun events as “The Show” develops.
Sunday marks the return of the Five Star and Market Maker Awards, combining them with the Culinary Excellence Awards at Caesar’s Palace for one reception to honor some of the industry’s finest. After that is the Sky Ranch Hall of Fame Dinner, at which leaders from all segments of the beverage world will enjoy a first-class dinner and the satisfaction of helping a great cause.
On Monday night, Deluca Liquor & Wines Ltd. and Anheuser-Busch Inc. take a trip down memorylane, kicking off “The Show” experience at Caesar’s Palace with specialty cocktails and entertainment from years gone by at the Rock, Rhythm
& Blues opening night event. Right after that at Rain at The Palms, the
Red Rocker is back to rock for his favorite fans, attendees of The Show, in a concert sponsored by Cabo Wabo tequila.
The Main Event is “The Greatest Party on Earth,” honoring the Nightclub & Bar Editor’s Top 100 bars and clubs in America. It’s on Monday night, co-hosted by Las Vegas Food & Beverage magazine, at some of Las Vegas’ hottest properties, in The Palms Casino Resort. Included are Moon, ghostbar, Rain and the exclusive Playboy Club.
Vino Las Vegas is Tuesday night, location T.B.D, sponsored by Southern Wine & Spirits. Top wineries will provide samples. TAO Tuesday at TAO Asian Bistro & Nightclub follows for more networking and specialty cocktails.
Sizzle With Sidney Frank Importing is next, sponsored by the importer, with a 90-foot waterfall as the backdrop at the stylish and sensual Tryst at Wynn Las Vegas. Several products will be showcased, including new launches.
Late-night fun continues at the GLBT Party at Piranha Nightclub, the newest and most luxurious gay hot spot in Las Vegas. Last, but not least, Wednesday brings the DJ Showcase, the grand finale of The Show, sponsored by PromoOnly, at TAO.
