The Crucial Convergence
Viking Range Corp., National Distributing Co. And ‘The Show’®
Team to Host New Culinary Component Showcasing the Merging Of Beverage
and Food
It can’t be said enough: consumer knowledge at the
point of sale is greater than ever. Expectations for flavors in
beverage and food are at an all-time high, and so are the expectations
for new experiences in pairings of the two –– perhaps the most powerful
convergence possible on-premise.
The business
of boosting venue revenues remains the lifeblood of Nightclub &
Bar/Beverage Retailer Beverage and Food Convention & Trade Show
(“The Show”) in Las Vegas, March 5-8, 2006, and programs have
proliferated to enable operators of bars, nightclubs, restaurants,
casinos and off-premise retail establishments to realize the potential
of their existing beverage and food programs and to develop new
elements to bring more profit. In addition to the 2,000-plus booths
showcasing products and services in the exhibit hall at “The Show” and
the close to 80 educational sessions address every facet of operation,
new components are providing even more for operators.
Pair and Innovate
One of the most exciting new additions to the mix at
“The Show” is Culinary Concepts & Innovations, hosted by Viking
Range Corp. and National Distributing Co. This special component will
feature demonstrations from top Las Vegas chefs, who will educate on
beverage and food pairings and samplings of some of the city’s best
restaurants. Educational sessions will include topics such as wine and
food pairing, a wine tasting, a single malt scotch tasting, Cognac
pairings with desserts, fruits and cheeses, a flavored vodka tasting
and a Jelly Belly beverage tasting.
“‘The Show,’ at which spirits, wine and beer are a
major element, provides the ideal forum for the local chefs to educate
operators on how to maximize profits with smart pairings of beverage
and food on the Viking stage,” said Jennifer Robinson, C.O.O. of
Oxford Publishing Inc.
