‘The Show’ Becomes Part of International Hospitality Week
When we write about ‘The Show’ as it approaches
each year, we always focus on how damn big the thing keeps getting — to
the point it seems we keep repeating “bigger and better” every year.
Well, it happens to be true. But this year brings far, far more to the
table, as ‘The Show’ becomes part of a much greater whole
— International Hospitality Week.
This event, February 24-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will
encompass three specialized events under one roof and be a mega-event
for buyers and sellers to meet and discover new business. The goal is
to create a singular source for all aspects of the hospitality industry
— beverage, food and lodging. Here’s what to expect.
‘The Show’
The Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show is the nation’s
No. 1 beverage event, attracting thousands of owners, operators and
managers from nightclubs, bars, lounges, pubs and more. Bar
professionals from around the nation hit Vegas for more than 800 vendor
booths, a comprehensive educational program and nightly networking
events at Las Vegas hot spots.
International Las Vegas Restaurant Show
This show features products, services, ideas and innovations
specifically for the restaurant and foodservice industries. Expected to
double in size in its second year, the International Las Vegas
Restaurant Show is the fastest-growing restaurant show in the country.
It adds a lot in its co-location with ‘The Show,’ including specialized
culinary events, awards and programs.
HotelWorld Conference & Expo
For the first time ever, Hotel & Motel Management, Hotel Design
and Luxury Hotelier will proudly support and help deliver a conference
and exposition worthy of their names. HotelWorld features a world-class
segmented conference approach tailored to the specific needs of
attendees and a show floor packed with exciting new products and
solutions for the hospitality industry. This will truly be an event not
to be missed.
International Coffee & Tea Expo
The International Las Vegas Coffee and Tea Expo will be launched in
2008. The event is sponsored by Fresh Cup magazine. Attendees will
encounter rich aromas and flavors as one of the fastest growing
segments joins the arena offering yet another expansion for hospitality
professionals.
More than 100 booths are planned, along with seminars taught by
coffee and tea luminaries. Included will be specialty beverage
retailing skills in marketing and industry trend discussions, as well
as tasting and roasting workshops.
Also, the Southwestern Regional Barista Competition will take place
in Las Vegas. It’s a heated competition that is sure to be a huge draw
for 2008.
