Frost's On Fire

Image    FrostWorx, based in New York City, has launched its instant on-bar glass frosting technology to bring a new, cool edge to summer bar sales. The recently released FrostWorx unit delivers a blast of ice-cold liquid CO2 to frost a Martini glass, beer mug or any other type of glass in seconds — on the bar — right in front of the customer.   FrostWorx’s CEO, Peter Chernin, says “FrostWorx has something for everyone. It’s smart business for owners, and it’s fun for patrons — everyone loves the show. It’s cool enough to be recently installed at the world-renowned Connecticut casino Mohegan Sun, Chernin added.   FrostWorx is marketing the new device based on two primary selling points. First, there is the space-efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the FrostWorx unit. The innovative device is intended to replace traditional bulky and expensive reach-in glass chillers. The size of the unit and its ability to frost glasses in seconds represents a significant advancement in glass frosting technology, as well.   Secondly, FrostWorx is selling the revolutionary units as a customer draw. When a glass is frosted, the unit shoots out a harmless but eye-catching cloud of CO2 vapor and emits a sound, drawing patron attention.

Image   3D Menus, a division of Creative Environments, has been improving the décor of nightclubs, bars and restaurants all over the world. The company’s core product, Illusion Flex, has been on the scene since 1998.
3D’s newest innovation, 3D Menus, will change they way customers order food. Using special technology, all menu items will appear to float off the page. Seafood will look fresher, barbecue will be hotter, and drinks will seem cooler. What can a new menu do for bottom-line profits? Experts say a menu redesign can improve sales an average of two to 10 percent, according to restaurant consultants interviewed by Restaurants USA. For an operation that brings in $1 million a year, that amounts to an additional $20,000 to $100,000 annually. “(Operators) should view menus as an investment, not as a cost,” says Bill Main, founder of Bill Main and Associates. “The driving force behind profits is the menu.”

Penguin Party Products

Operators may not realize it, but the wristband and wristband security sector of the industry has been changing — for the good. Penguin Party Products announces its difference to on-premise operators: specially customized wristbands by ReadyBand.
As a result of increased security awareness, more bars and clubs are using wristbands to identify guests at events with a few hundred people or less. In addition, owners are wise to the fact that attention to detail when executing promotions is crucial to garnering patron loyalty and impressing guests. ReadyBand has found a way to offer solutions of both issues to operators.
The company offers thousands of different stock designs, and it offers dozens of colors and styles so that by combining them, there literally are tens of thousands of different wristbands from which to choose. Also, since having your company name on the wristband is good for advertising and promotions as well as security, ReadyBand will custom print your name, logo or message. Perhaps the best part of this all is, ReadyBand will custom print as few as 100 wristbands with no setup charge.
