An Aspen Affair
The Food and Wine Classic was a Sophisticated Success
For three action-packed days recently, the fun, sophisticated events that comprise the Food & Wine Classic took over Aspen, Colo., with their education and their entertainment for fortunate members of the industry.
From June 16-18, 2006, the 24th annual Food & Wine Classic, hosted by Food & Wine magazine, attracted scores of authors, chefs, mixologists and other attendees. Reserve tastings, wine seminars and cooking demonstrations, led by such renowned personalities as Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, Wolfgang Puck and Mario Batali, served guests with a tasty treat while instructing them on the finer points of the culinary arts.
“Aspen Food & Wine is an outstanding event not only for wine, but it has become popular among the spirit companies,” said Patrick Henry, president of Patrick Henry Creative Promotions Inc. “It features excellent social events with some of the top buyers in the country attending. Aspen is a beautiful setting with some really good restaurant concepts.”
