Pernod Ricard Appointments
Pernod Ricard USA has announced that Dan Grunbeck, a
senior-level executive with extensive distributor management and brand
building experience has been named vice president sales of Pernod
Ricard USA Wines.
Grunbeck is an 18-year industry veteran who joins Pernod Ricard from
the U.S. division of William Grant & Sons, where he was senior vice
president of sales/national sales manager and director of sales and
marketing, Fine Wine Division. Among Grunbeck's other previous roles
was his tenure as senior vice president, national sales manager,
Seagram Chateau & Estate Wines Co.
Grunbeck will report to Stephen Brauer, general manager, Wines & Champagnes.
Grunbeck's appointment is the latest in a series of moves signaling
Pernod Ricard's increased emphasis on its wine business. Earlier this
year, the company hired Lauren Simkin, a wine marketing authority as
vice president, trade marketing, and Bob Trimble, a wine expert with
training experience across the industry's three tiers, as director of
education, Wines & Champagnes. Last month, the company promoted
wine industry veteran Jeanne Eliades to vice president, marketing,
Still Wines.
