Guiness Presented With Prestigious Award
Diageo Ireland and RMG Target received one of the marketing industry’s most prestigious awards on a global scale, it was recently announced. The Guinness Relationship Marketing
Program won for Best Direct Marketing Program in the world at the
Direct Marketing Association (DMA) International ECHO Awards held in
Atlanta.
Diageo Ireland received the award for its Guinness Relationship marketing program, which consisted of visually striking direct mail and
point-of-sale material in addition to a cell phone text messaging
program.
The DMA holds the event at its annual conference,
providing many special awards for the marketing companies behind a
variety of marketing campaigns in different categories. The 2005 ECHO
Awards attracted more than 1,000 entries in all.
“This is a huge achievement for the Guinness brand
and our agency, RMG Target,” said Asta Lund, relationship marketing
brand manager, Guinness. “It is the biggest accolade that can
possibly be achieved in direct marketing, at a global level. We always
aim to develop and deliver world-class campaigns and our hard work has
certainly paid off. We are absolutely thrilled.”
